1 How Token Allocation Works
Tokens are the foundation of your PoGoAlerts coverage. Your subscription already covers alerts everywhere we scan — each token you allocate funds the scanning that keeps an area live and its data fresh. Here's what you need to know:
Regions
PoGoAlerts divides coverage into geographic regions. Each region covers a specific area like a city, neighborhood, or district.
Tokens
Tokens are your "coverage credits." They decide which areas stay scanned, and how fast — not whether you get alerts at all.
Region Health
Each region has a health status indicating coverage quality. Healthy regions provide more reliable and frequent alerts.
Flexibility
You can reallocate tokens between regions at any time. Move coverage as your play patterns change.
2 Accessing Token Management
There are several ways to access the Token Management page:
Main Navigation
Click "Token Management" in the main navigation menu. This is the quickest way to access your tokens.
Dashboard
From your Dashboard, click on the token summary card or "Manage Tokens" link.
Subscriptions Page
The Subscriptions page shows your token breakdown with a link to manage them.
Direct URL
Navigate directly to /tokens in your browser.
3 Understanding the Interface
The Token Management page has several key components:
Token Summary
Shows your total tokens, how many are allocated, and how many are available for allocation.
Region List
A searchable list of all available regions. Each region shows its name, current health status, and how many tokens you have allocated there.
Interactive Map
A visual map showing region boundaries. Regions are color-coded by health status. Click a region to select it for allocation.

4 Allocating Tokens to a Region
Follow these steps to allocate tokens to a new region:
Find Your Region
Use the search bar to find a region by name, or browse the list. You can also click directly on the map to select a region.
Select the Region
Click on a region in the list or on the map. The region will be highlighted and its details will appear in a side panel or modal.
Choose Token Count
Enter the number of tokens you want to allocate. Each region shows an "optimal" token count - allocating this many ensures healthy coverage.
Select Token Source
If you have tokens from multiple sources (subscription, add-ons, one-time purchases), choose which tokens to use. Monthly tokens refresh; one-time tokens don't.
Confirm Allocation
Click "Allocate" or "Save" to apply your changes. The tokens will be immediately allocated and alerts will begin.
Step-by-Step Visual Guide
Step 1: Click the "Add Region" button to add a new region allocation
Step 2: Browse or search the list and select your desired region
Step 3: Use the +/- buttons to adjust how many tokens to allocate
Step 4: Click "Apply Changes" to save your token allocation
Success! Your tokens are now allocated and alerts will begin for that region
5 Managing Your Allocations
Once you've allocated tokens, you can adjust your coverage at any time:
6 Understanding Token Sources
Tokens can come from different sources, and each behaves slightly differently:
Subscription Tokens
Included with your base subscription plan. These tokens refresh automatically each billing cycle.
Add-On Tokens
From token pack add-ons attached to your subscription. Also refresh monthly when the add-on renews.
One-Time Purchase Tokens
Purchased separately as a one-time buy. These tokens are valid for 30 days from purchase date.
Community Add-On Tokens
Bonus tokens included with the Community Add-On. These also refresh monthly with your subscription.
7 Best Practices
Prioritize Your Home Region
Always allocate tokens to where you play most. Your home area should be your first priority since you'll catch the most alerts there.
Check Region Health
Prefer regions with higher health percentages. A healthy region means more reliable scanning and fewer missed spawns.
Meet Optimal Counts
Each region has an optimal token count. Try to meet this number for best results - under-allocating reduces coverage quality.
Reassess Periodically
Your play patterns may change. Review your allocations monthly to ensure tokens are where you need them most.
Plan for Events
Before Community Days or special events, consider reallocating tokens to event hotspots where you'll be playing.
Use All Your Tokens
Unused tokens don't provide any benefit. Make sure all your tokens are allocated - you're paying for them!
8 Troubleshooting
I can't allocate any tokens
Check these common causes:
- You may have already allocated all available tokens - check your token summary
- Your subscription may have expired - verify on the Subscriptions page
- If you just subscribed, tokens may take a few minutes to appear
My allocated region shows as inactive
Region health depends on overall scanner activity in that area, not just your tokens. If a region has low health, it means the scanning infrastructure needs more resources. Your tokens still contribute to improving coverage.
I don't see my region listed
Not all geographic areas have regions yet. Coverage expands over time. If your area isn't available, consider allocating to the nearest available region and joining our Discord to request new areas.
My tokens disappeared after renewal
Monthly tokens refresh on your billing date. If you see fewer tokens than expected, check if an add-on was canceled or if your subscription plan changed.
Can I get a refund on allocated tokens?
Tokens can be reallocated at any time. If you've canceled your subscription, your allocations remain active until the end of your billing period. Refunds follow our standard subscription refund policy.
