1 What a token does
Basic comes with 1 token a month and Premium with 2. A token pays toward scanning one area.
A token doesn't unlock anything. Your plan shows you the whole map, and your alerts follow the areas you pick on the DM Alerts site, wherever your tokens are.
The more tokens an area has, the faster it's scanned. The Coverage Map shows how well supported each area is.
2 Place a token
- Sign in and open Token Allocation (pogoalerts.net/tokens). It's in the side menu on a computer and under Account in the phone menu. The Tokens and Regional Tokens links only explain tokens.
- Under Your areas, tap Add Region and pick your area. The names match the Coverage Map.
- The page may jump down to the map. Scroll back up to the area's card and tap + under Monthly. A one-time token goes under One-Time instead.
- Tap Apply Changes.
3 Move a token
- On the old area's card, tap − under Monthly, then Apply Changes.
- Add it to the new area the same way you placed it.
Moving is free. It doesn't change your plan, your price or your alerts.
4 The start-up hold
A newly built area scans at full rate during its start-up period while it builds support. A token you place there can be taken back within 24 hours. After that it stays until the start-up period ends or 30 days pass, whichever comes first.
The area's card says so, with the date the hold ends.
The hold applies only to a token you placed yourself, or one that moved onto the area when a coverage request you backed was built (that one has no 24-hour window). A token staff placed, or one on an area that's been switched off, can always be moved.
It's there so a new area's free start-up scanning goes to the people who'll keep supporting it.
5 Can't find your area?
The Add Region list leaves out areas already on your cards. Further down the same page, Areas waiting to be built lists requested areas that have been measured and are waiting for support. They take tokens too.
Not there either? Check your address on the Coverage Map and request the area from there.
6 Getting more tokens
Purchase More Tokens on the same page adds monthly token packs or one-time tokens.
- Monthly tokens, from your plan or a pack, renew with your billing and stay on the areas you put them on.
- One-time tokens expire 30 days after you buy them.
- The Community add-on comes with its own monthly tokens.
7 Troubleshooting
I don't see Add Region
It only shows while you have a token that isn't placed. If every token is already on an area, take one off first.
I can't take a token off an area
The area is probably in its start-up period and the token is held there. The card shows the date the hold ends.
Does placing a token turn on alerts there?
No. Alerts follow the areas you pick on the DM Alerts site, and ticking an area there doesn't move a token. See the DM Alerts Guide.
I have fewer tokens than I expected
Monthly tokens come from your plan and any token packs. If a pack was canceled or your plan changed, you have fewer. One-time tokens expire 30 days after you buy them.
