1 Filter System Overview
The DM alert filter system lets you precisely control which Pokemon, raids, and quests trigger notifications. Understanding how filters work together helps you avoid alert overload while catching what matters most.

2 Pokemon Species Filters
Configure which Pokemon species you want to receive alerts for. You can be as broad or specific as needed.
Special Pokemon Considerations
Enable alerts for region-exclusive Pokemon when traveling or during special events.
Costumed Pokemon (hat Pikachu, etc.) can be filtered separately from their base forms.
Team Rocket Shadow Pokemon require enabling the Shadow filter specifically.
Mega-evolved Pokemon in the wild (rare) have their own filter toggle.
3 IV Filter Configuration
Individual Values (IVs) determine a Pokemon's stat potential. Filter settings help you find the perfect specimens for raids, PVP, or collection.

4 PVP Rank Filters
PVP filters help you find Pokemon with ideal stat distributions for competitive battles. Unlike raids, PVP often favors lower Attack IVs for better stat products within CP limits.
Great League
CP ≤ 1500The most popular competitive league. Many Pokemon peak in Great League, making good ranks highly valuable.
Ultra League
CP ≤ 2500Mid-tier competitive league. Many Pokemon need XL candy investment to reach optimal stats at this level.
Master League
No CP LimitNo CP cap means highest IVs win. Use standard IV filters (90%+) rather than PVP rank for Master League.
Understanding PVP Ranks
The mathematically perfect IV spread for that Pokemon in that league. Extremely rare.
Excellent PVP Pokemon. Barely distinguishable from Rank 1 in actual battles.
Great PVP Pokemon. Still highly competitive and worth investing in.
Functional but not optimal. Consider waiting for a better specimen before major investment.

Field Research quests reset daily and offer guaranteed encounters, items, and resources. Filter by reward type to find exactly what you need.
Pokemon Encounters
Quests that reward specific Pokemon encounters. Great for:
- Shiny hunting (guaranteed species)
- Rare/event Pokemon
- Pokemon with legacy moves

8 Filter Optimization Tips
Start Strict, Then Loosen
Begin with strict filters (100% IV, Rank 1-10 PVP) and gradually expand if you're not getting enough alerts. It's easier to add than to filter through noise.
Update for Events
During Community Days or special events, temporarily adjust filters to catch event-specific spawns or increased shiny rates.
Use PVP OR IV, Not Both
For a single Pokemon, use either PVP rank filters OR IV filters. Using both can cause you to miss good PVP specimens with "low" IVs.
Consider Spawn Rates
Common Pokemon need stricter IV filters (98%+). Rare Pokemon can use looser filters since any spawn is valuable.
Check Despawn Times
Factor in your travel time. There's no point in alerts for spawns you can't reach before they despawn.
Review Periodically
Meta shifts, new Pokemon release, and your collection grows. Review and update filters monthly to stay relevant.
