1 How you pay
Plans are paid by card at checkout on the Pricing page, through Stripe. Yearly billing, with two months free, is on the same page.
A PayPal payment sent any other way doesn't start a plan. If you've sent one, open a ticket in Discord or email [email protected].
2 Update your card
- Open Subscriptions. It's under Account in the side menu.
- Tap Manage Billing. It opens Stripe's billing page, where you can change the card and download invoices.
PayPal plans don't have Manage Billing. Manage that payment in PayPal.
3 Cancel your plan
- Open Subscriptions and tap Cancel Subscription.
- Answer "What's making you cancel?". If you pick "Something isn't working", tap It's still broken, I want to leave to go on.
- You may be offered a pause of 1 to 3 months, or a switch to a cheaper plan. A pause is only offered on a monthly card plan that isn't overdue and doesn't have the Community add-on. You don't have to take either.
- Under Or cancel, tap Cancel subscription.
On a card plan, your map and alerts keep working to the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. Add-ons end the same day. A PayPal plan stops straight away, and the rest of that period is lost.
While a plan is paused, Change Plan is hidden and End pause (or Undo pause) appears instead. Comp and gift plans have no Cancel button.
4 Changed your mind?
Before the end date, tap Keep Subscription on the Scheduled for Cancellation banner. Once a card plan has ended, Reactivate Subscription shows up instead. A PayPal cancel can't be undone on the site, so subscribe again from the Pricing page.
5 Past payments
Transaction History (pogoalerts.net/account/payment-history) shows your payments and plan changes. PayPal payments may be missing from it. Card invoices are under Manage Billing.
6 Plans still on PayPal
New plans are card only. A plan that already runs on PayPal keeps working and renews through PayPal.
- It has no Manage Billing. Change how you pay in PayPal.
- Canceling on the site cancels it in PayPal too. You don't need to cancel in both places.
- It stops as soon as you cancel, so cancel near the end of the period you've paid for.
- To move to a card, cancel it and subscribe again by card.
